Benelux Baltics in Business (BBinB) Cinema Club is again inviting you to get better acquainted with Lithuanian cinema and its talented filmmakers. This time from the 9th of May we have a chance to see the movie The Summer of Sangaile and on the 18th of May meet its director Alante Kavaite.
In support of the film, we ask everyone to contribute 5 Euros. All the money collected will go to support the film. You will get a chance to screen the movie at home at your own convenience before meeting with Alante. More information below:
The Summer of Sangaile (2015) - 17 year-old Sangaile is fascinated by stunt planes. Afraid of heights, she has never dared to even enter in one of the cockpits. At a summer aeronautical show, nearby her parents’ lakeside villa, she meets Auste, a local girl of her age, who unlike Sangaile, lives her life to the full with creativity and dare. As the two girls become lovers, Sangaile allows Auste to discover her most intimate secret, and finds in her teenage love the only person to truly encourage her in flying.

The virtual meeting with Alante Kavaite will take place on May 18th at 19:00 CET and will last 1h 30min.
We will talk to Alante about her filmmaking career, inspiration, and the making of her fiction film The Summer of Sangaile.
You will have an opportunity to ask questions and share your own insights.
The online meeting will be moderated in Lithuanian by Laimis Zelnys.
Everyone is invited to see the movie and meet with the director.

2. Within the following days you will receive via email a link to pay 5 Euros.
3. On May 9h, will send you a link to watch The Summer of Sangaile which will be valid till the afternoon on the 18th.
4. On Wednesday, May 18th, at 19:00 CET, will be waiting to see you at our virtual meeting with Alante Kavaite. The link to join the meeting will be sent to you a day prior to the event.
